Felipe Nasr: Why Oversteer is FAST

Felipe Nasr driving style

What was Felipe Nasr’s driving style?

Felipe Nasr had a Smooth Oversteer driving style. He said himself that he liked a responsive front end, with the grip balance shifted to the front tyres. Nasr liked to use the limit of the rear tyres more than the fronts, but often overheated them and wore them out faster. He tended to be more aggressive with the car on entry, but smoothen out his driving inputs mid-corner. Nasr braked hard and late into corners, at the limit of locking up the brakes, while carrying a high entry speed and being relatively smooth with the steering.

To understand why his preference of oversteer made him faster, we have to look into his motor racing history.
