What is Robert Kubica's driving style?
It is a Smooth Oversteer driving style. This is why.
Robert Kubica was undoubtedly a fast F1 driver, having a successful time at BMW Sauber. However, after an accident at the Ronde di Andora rally in 2011, his injuries unfortunately affected his racing career. Despite this, he joined Williams in 2019 and participated in testing sessions later on. His driving style is known to be precise and smooth, with a slight preference towards understeer. He prefers to take a more V-shaped line in the corners. He uses the brake for longer, has a lower minimum speed and sets the car up for a good exit. His telemetry data shows that Kubica modulates the brake more than Russell in 2019. We can also see that Kubica keeps his steering smooth while modulating the pedals to stay on the grip limit.
